“Those who have suffered understand suffering and therefore extend their hand.”

- Patti Smith

Who we are:

MEANS Collective (formerly TenThousandMeans) is a media and fundraising organization devoted to the furtherance of human rights and the strengthening of impactful dialogue. The Message is the Mission.

First established in 2009 to raise awareness and financial support for the fight against Human Trafficking, MEANS Collective, over the years, has partnered with human rights organizations and NGOs worldwide with proven commitments in making a better world.

How we work:

MEANS joins with organizations to strengthen their messaging and media strategies. This is done through the publication of articles highlighting the organization's efforts.

MEANS also provides content editing and strategies to hone the organization's messaging through traditional and social media channels. Finally, MEANS explores non-traditional media approaches, including formats (livestream, podcasts, pop-up events, etc) as well as alternative arts medium including fine & street arts, performance, music and spoken word.

Through our blog MEANS Post, we continue to highlight the work of those who fight the fight.
